We make Vintefy, so read this with that in mind. Each tool’s features and prices come from its own website, pricing page, Trustpilot or App Store listing, checked on 15 and 16 October 2026.
Why resellers look for a Photoroom alternative
Photoroom is good at what it is built for. These are the sourced reasons it can be the wrong fit for someone reselling clothes:
- Built for brands and shops. Its AI Fashion Models page talks about images “for your Shopify website and Amazon listings”, lookbooks and enterprise teams. Its page for Vinted sellers covers background removal only.
- Lots of tools to learn. Background removal, AI backgrounds, shadows, ironing, flat lay, ghost mannequin and fashion models, each with its own options.
- Credits and “up to” allowances. Pro ($12.99 a month) includes 8,000 AI credits. AI Fashion Models 1K is listed at “up to 1,600 generations”, which Photoroom’s footnote says is the maximum if you spend all your credits on that one feature. 2K starts on Max ($34.99 a month, up to 185) and 4K is only on Ultra ($99 a month). Checked 15 October 2026.
- Reviews. Its Trustpilot score was 2.2 out of 5 from 272 reviews on 16 October 2026, mostly about billing, trials and credits.
- The look. In a test published by Snappyit, which makes a competing AI tool, Photoroom kept garments accurate, but “the blurred backgrounds and heavily smoothed skin made the results look more generated than photographed” (updated 21 September 2026).

Vintefy is made for one job: secondhand clothing photos that sell on Vinted, Depop, eBay and Poshmark. Snap the item on a hanger, the floor or your bed. No space, lighting, mirror or posing needed.
Plans are monthly: Starter €19 for 60 photos, Seller €49 for 260 and Pro €99 for 600, from €0.165 a photo. Credits renew each month and you can cancel anytime. A free photo checker, description generator, photo refresher and price and fee calculators come with it.
- Best for
- Resellers who want a natural cover photo from a casual phone photo, with nothing to learn.
- Limits
- It does two kinds of photo by design, not a full editing suite, and photos need a plan.
Vendy Studio
Many shot types for Vinted sellers- On-model, cutout, ghost mannequin, multi-angle
- Packs €4.90 to €99.90
- Web; apps coming soon
A French tool “built by and for Vinted sellers”. Beyond on-model and cutout photos it offers ghost mannequin, three-angle views, mirror-selfie poses with 46 phone models, saved custom models and your own room as a backdrop. It has 10 interface languages and 3 free tries without a card.
It sells credit packs rather than monthly plans: €4.90 for 15 credits up to €99.90 for 640, about €0.33 to €0.16 per credit. Its plans page says the gallery is kept for 10 days. Compare: Vintefy vs Vendy Studio.

- Sellers who want lots of shot types and prefer topping up.
- Limits
- More choices to make per photo; iPhone and Android apps were still “coming soon” on 16 October 2026.
FlipStudio
Studio backgrounds, AI ironing and listing text- Studio backgrounds + ironing
- From €9.99/month
- Web and Android
FlipStudio removes the background, places the item on a studio backdrop and smooths wrinkles, and writes titles, descriptions and hashtags for Vinted, Depop, eBay and Leboncoin. It also has model and mannequin modes. Its FAQ says it only changes the background, not the item itself.
Starter is €9.99 a month for 50 studio photos (€0.20 each) and Pro €29.99 for 200 (€0.15 each); top-up packs start at €2.99 for 10. A studio photo costs 3 credits. New accounts get 12 free credits. Trustpilot: 4.3 out of 5 from 9 reviews (16 October 2026). Compare: Vintefy vs FlipStudio.
- Best for
- Sellers who want studio backgrounds at the lowest price per photo.

VintDress
Virtual model or photo clean-up for Vinted- Virtual model or “improve” mode
- Packs from €3.99
- FR, EN, ES, IT
VintDress puts your item on a virtual model you can adjust (gender, skin tone, body shape), or improves the photo of the item itself: removing creases, cleaning the background and presenting it flat, folded or on a hanger. It runs on the web in French, English, Spanish and Italian.
Its site lists packs of 10 credits for €3.99 and 25 for €7.99, and a monthly plan of €12.99 for 40 generations (about €0.32 each).
- Best for
- Occasional sellers who want a customisable virtual model.
- Limits
- Its monthly plan covers 40 generations, so it gets expensive at volume.
VintyLook
Worn photos from a Vinted link- Worn photos
- Packs from €3.49
- Trustpilot 2.9/5
VintyLook turns your product photos into worn photos in about 30 seconds. You can upload images or paste the link of a Vinted listing. Packs cost €3.49 for 10 photos, €6.99 for 25 and €21.90 for 100, or €11.99 a month for up to 50.
On 16 October 2026 its Trustpilot page showed 2.9 out of 5 from 13 reviews, with complaints about generated images not matching the garment (necklines, cuffs) and slow customer service. Compare: Vintefy vs VintyLook.
- Best for
- Trying worn photos on a few items.
- Limits
- Reviewers report wrong garment details.
Pixelcut
Cheap background removal with a try-on tool- Try-on: tops only, per its FAQ
- Pro $10/month
- Web and mobile
Pixelcut is a general photo editor known for background removal and upscaling. Its Virtual Try-On places a clothing image onto a model. Its FAQ says it works on “clothing tops of all fabrics and styles”, with trousers, dresses and accessories “coming soon”.
Pro costs $10 a month ($8 billed yearly) with 600 AI credits; Business $30 ($24 yearly). There is a free plan with limited background removal.
- Best for
- Mixed inventories that mostly need clean backgrounds.
- Limits
- Try-on covers tops only, according to its FAQ; like Photoroom, it is a general editor.
How to choose
- Start with one of your own photos. Use a real phone photo of a real item, the kind you actually take. If you want a second opinion first, run it through the free Vinted photo checker.
- Check the result against the item. Colour, neckline, print and logos should match.
- Count your time, not just the price. A tool with fewer choices gets you to the next listing faster.
- Look at what you get every month. A fixed photo count at full size is easier to plan than credits shared between features. See Vintefy pricing.
