Download the Vinted app, create an account, tap Sell, upload 5 or more photos, write a descriptive title with brand and size, set a price based on comparable sold listings, choose your shipping preferences, and publish. When the item sells, Vinted sends a prepaid shipping label. Package the item, drop it off, and the buyer confirms receipt. Payment goes to your Vinted Wallet with zero seller fees deducted. The whole process takes about 10 minutes per listing once you get the hang of it.

Download the Vinted app on iOS or Android. Sign up with email, Google, or Apple. Pick a seller-friendly username, upload a clear profile photo, and set your location and currency. Fill out your profile with a short bio. Buyers check profiles before purchasing, and a complete profile builds trust.
Tap Sell and upload at least 5 photos. Use a clean background and good lighting. Write a title in the format: brand, item type, size, colour, condition. Example: "Zara satin midi dress black size 10 UK good condition." Add a detailed description with condition notes, fit, material, and original price if known. Select the correct category, brand, condition, size, and colour.
Search Vinted for similar items in the same brand, size, and condition. Look at what has actually sold, not just what is listed. Price at or slightly below the median of comparable sold items. Vinted will suggest a price, but you can override it. Enable offers if you are open to negotiation. Set a bundle discount (10% off 2 or more items) to encourage multi-buys.
When your item sells, Vinted emails you a prepaid shipping label. In the UK, options include Evri, Yodel, Royal Mail, and InPost lockers. Package the item securely, print and attach the label, and drop it off at the chosen courier within 5 working days. Add a personal thank-you note inside the package to encourage positive reviews.
The buyer confirms receipt of the item. Vinted then releases the payment to your Vinted Wallet. From there, withdraw to your bank account or PayPal. No seller fees, no commission, no payout delays. The full listed price is yours.
Beginner tips
These are the things experienced sellers wish they had known on day one.
Brand, item type, size, colour, condition. That is the format. "Zara blazer black size 12 UK good condition" will show up in searches. "Lovely blazer barely worn" will not.
A model photo as the main image gets more clicks than a flat lay. Include front, back, labels, and any defects. More photos means more buyer confidence.
Search for the same brand and item, filter by sold. That tells you what buyers are actually paying. What you originally paid is irrelevant to the market.
Buyers pay one shipping fee regardless of how many items they buy. A 10% bundle discount encourages multi-buys and increases your average order value.
If an item has no views or favourites after a week, delete and repost it. This resets the freshness counter in the Vinted algorithm. Change at least one detail each time.
Vinted tracks response time as part of your seller quality score. Fast responses improve your ranking and build buyer trust. Aim to reply within a few hours.
Drop off the package as soon as you can. Faster shipping means faster buyer confirmation, which means faster payment. It also improves your seller rating.
Reviewing the buyer encourages them to review you back. Reviews build your profile reputation, which helps future sales.
The Vinted algorithm ranks listings by click-through rate. If buyers scroll past your thumbnail in search results, your listing gets demoted. A model photo gets more clicks than a flat lay on a bed, because buyers can see fit, proportion, and how the garment actually looks worn.
