How to handle offers on Vinted
Most Vinted sales involve some negotiation. The rules behind the Make an offer button, and a simple way to decide whether to accept, counter or decline.

The short answer
On Vinted, buyers and sellers can offer a price up to 40% below the listing price. Buyers can send up to 25 offers a day; sellers have no limit. The seller can accept, decline or counter. Offers are not binding: an accepted offer does not reserve the item, and another member can buy it until the buyer presses Buy now. Price with room for offers, accept good ones fast, and counter the rest.
The rules
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Maximum discount | Up to 40% below the listing price |
| Buyer limit | Up to 25 offers per day |
| Seller limit | No limit on offers sellers make |
| What can be negotiated | Only the item price, not shipping or fees |
| Binding? | No, for either side |
| Does acceptance reserve the item? | No, until the buyer presses Buy now |
| Counteroffers | Yes: decline and propose a different price |
Set your price with offers in mind
Most buyers will offer. If your listing price is the lowest you will accept, every offer feels like a loss. Instead, decide your floor first and list about 10 to 20% above it. A typical offer then lands near your floor, and a counter meets in the middle. This is our rule of thumb, not a Vinted rule; the Vinted price calculator builds the margin in for you, and the pricing strategy guide explains the rest.
Accept, counter or decline?
Accept
A fair offer within your range
If the offer is at or above the lowest price you planned to take, accept quickly. Speed matters: an accepted offer does not reserve the item.
Counter
A reasonable but low offer
Counter between the two prices and say why in one line (condition, brand, original price). Most buyers who make an offer expect a counter.
Decline politely
A lowball
Decline with a short, friendly message and, if you like, a counteroffer near your floor. Some lowballers come back at a fair price.
Suggest a bundle
A buyer who wants a bigger discount
Suggest they add another item. A bundle discount gives them the saving they want and you a bigger sale.
Send offers yourself
Sellers can make offers too, with no daily limit. In a conversation, press Make an offer, choose a price (up to 40% below the listing price) and send it. Only that buyer sees the lower price; everyone else still sees your listed price.
The best moment is when someone favourites your item. Vinted notifies you, and tapping the notification opens a conversation where you can send an offer. See how favourites work.
Use bundles instead of deeper discounts
When a buyer pushes for a bigger discount on one item, suggest they add a second. With a bundle discount set up, they get a better deal and you get a bigger order and one parcel to post. See Vinted bundles.
If nobody offers at all
No offers usually means no interest: the listing is not being seen, or the first photo does not earn the click. Relist the item after 10 to 14 days and change as much as you can: new photos (the free photo refresher helps), a new description from the free description generator, a new title and an adjusted price. We recommend posting between 19:00 and 21:00 (our recommendation, not official Vinted data). Vinted’s 2025 trend report, reported by Stylist, found that sellers are most open to offers between 6pm and 9pm. More in the relisting strategy.

Offers on Vinted: your questions
How do offers work on Vinted?
A buyer presses Make an offer on a listing or in a conversation and suggests a lower price. The seller can accept, decline or make a counteroffer. Offers are not binding: an accepted offer does not reserve the item, and other members can still buy it until the buyer presses Buy now.
How low can you offer on Vinted?
Up to 40% below the listing price. The limit applies to offers from buyers and from sellers. Offers only apply to the item price, not to shipping or the Vinted fee.
How many offers can you make on Vinted?
Buyers can send up to 25 offers per day. There is no limit on the number of offers a seller can make.
Can a seller send an offer to a buyer on Vinted?
Yes. In a conversation, the seller can press Make an offer and propose a lower price, up to 40% below the listing price. Only that buyer sees the lower price. When someone favourites your item, Vinted notifies you, and you can open a conversation and send them an offer.
Does an accepted offer reserve the item on Vinted?
No. Another member can still buy the item at full price until the buyer who made the offer presses Buy now. That is why it pays for sellers to accept good offers quickly and for buyers to pay soon after acceptance.
Should I accept the first offer on Vinted?
If it is at or above the lowest price you planned to accept, yes. If it is lower, counter rather than decline outright. Set your listing price with room for offers in the first place, so a typical offer still lands where you want it.
What does “lowball” mean on Vinted?
An offer far below a fair price, often near the 40% limit. Decline politely or counter near your lowest acceptable price. Arguing rarely changes a lowballer’s mind and can earn you a bad review.
